This is the most difficult stage of training, as the kajira may be allowed to earn permission to alcove, while being forced to relate to her fellow slaves, both in channel and out. A vital part of this stage is travelling to other channels, with a Trainer, to use the skills she's been learning up to this point, and to view (and discuss with the Trainer) the many aspects of on-line Gor.
The objective at this level is to be a candidate for Redsilks or Blacksilks.

Beyond the Serve: Gorean Dance

The fully-trained kajira now returns to the baby steps of her beginning in order to master the techniques for performing Gorean Dance. Prevented from anticipating this specialized training up to this point. the kajira now is taught how to marshall the various skills she's learned to this point for acquiring this most exquisite, difficult, and rare of Gorean skills.

There is no Gorean trivia to learn at this level, there are no "positions"; the kajira is to concentrate totally on learning to dance, according to the "Principles". She returns to being completely restricted, and may not travel until she has mastered "Adagio". Her world becomes the single-minded pursuit of this skill.

advanced "In the Modality of the She-Quadruped" is an instruction whereby the slave performs her regular duties upon hands and knees, without the benefit of the use of her hands. In this mode she may not rise to her feet and may use only her mouth and teeth to grasp and manipulate objects.

The slave is not permitted human speech though may signify wants by moaning or whimpering, and is fed and watered from pans on the floor.

This is reminiscent of, but not at all the same as the she-sleen postion.

It should be noted that the sleen is a six-legged animal (heptoped), while quadrupeds on Gor include the pig-like tarsk and goat-like verr.
she-sleen IRCism advanced Slave drops to all fours, butt presented and high, ready for use and/or discipline. Essentially a sexual position, she-sleen differs from the Modality of the She-Quadruped in that this is a position for the slave to assume, while the Modality is a way for the slave to perform her duties and carry herself.

And there was not one girl, naked and in her collar, in the entire class who did not raise her hand.
"Good," said the whip master. "Then you are hungry." Our training then continued.
"No two masters are the same," said the whip master, "except in so far as each is the total master, just as no two slaves are the same, except that each is a total slave."

We all sat facing him, our backs against the wall of the Training room. The palms of our hands were flat on the floor at our sides and our legs were extended before us, the ankles crossed, as though bound.

"You must, accordingly, strive to understand, relate to, serve and please the unique mdster in each man. You must bring your own individual personalities and talents to bear on his challenge. Try in your uniqueness to be perfect and pecial for him in his uniqueness. Read him. Learn him. Become acutely aware of him. Be sensitive to his moods, and his changes. Find out what he wants from you, and then ee that he gets it, and more. Find out what he wants you to be and then be it, beyond his wildest dreams.

Remember that, for you are the slave. You exist for his service and pleasure."

"That is it, Tiffany," he said. "Stretch your limbs. Examine their fairness. Now look at the master. That is how you take bath before a man. Will he drag you forth and have you on lie slippery tiles or will he take you in the bath itself?"

"Do not forget to kiss the sandal, humbly, before eyeing it on his foot," said the whip master, "just as, when you remove them, you kiss them, before putting them away."
"Yes, Master," I said.
"Gently, Tiffany," said the whip master. "You are not rubbing down a tharlarion."
"Yes, Master," I said.
"Use the sponge well," he said. "Remember that it must not only clean but caress, and do not forget, in this service, to fondle and kiss the master, humbly and lovingly."
I kissed the wet shoulder of the man in the bath, and then kissed his cheek, through the wet canvas hood drawn over his face. He moaned. He was a male slave.

"Similarly," said the whip master, "do not forget to press your body sometimes against that of the master, sometimes seemingly inadvertently. Along these lines, for example, it is easy, seemingly accidentally, to brush his lips with a pendant breast. if his lips should part you might then press it more closely against him, begging. You might then be cuffed back in the water, but later you will doubtless be well used."

I knelt before the whip master, anxiously lifting the tray to him. He picked up one of the biscuits. He turned it over.
"This biscuit is burned on the bottom," he said. "If this happens again, you will be whipped."
"Yes, Master," I said. "Forgive me, Master."

"Good, Ruby," said the whip master. "That is how to remove a man's tunic. Make it a sensuous experience for him, in which you show him your slavery and your eagerness to serve. You may replace your tunic, Abdar."
"Yes, Master," said the hooded slave.
"You next, Tiffany," said the whip master.
"Yes, Master," I said.
"These biscuits are acceptable," he said. "In fact, they are good."
"Thank you, Master!" I said.
"Good, Tiffany," said the whip master. "That is how you belly to a man. Put your head down, now. Let me feel your lips and tongue."
"Yes, Master," I whimpered.
Good," he said.
"Later, too, when your hair reaches a suitable length, make certain that it falls about the master's sandals."
"Yes, Master," I said.

I sensed that our training was coming to an end. We were returning to various basics, almost as elementary as scales to the musician, such things as basic kisses, caresses, position, attitudes and movement.

"Good," he said.
I had once been Miss Tiffany Collins, of Earth. I now lay on my belly on the tiles, naked and in a collar, licking and kissing at the feet of a Gorean male. It was my hope that he would find me pleasing, totally.

"Attention, Class," said the whip master.
We all straightened up, sitting, facing him, our backs against the wall of the training room. The palms of our hands, were flat on the floor at our sides and our legs were extended before us, the ankles crossed, as though bound.
"The results of your tests, your examinations, are now in. It is my pleasure to inform you that you have all passed."
We dared not break position, so well trained we were, but we cried out with pleasure. We had worked hard. We did not wish to be fed to sleen, or, perhaps, if our internal slavery was adequate, but our external performances insufficient, being sent to a laundry or returned to a mill, where we might have to remain perhaps indefinitely.
"It is an excellent class, one of the best I have had," he said.

"Let her be fully trained," said Cernus to Caprus.
"Fully?" asked Caprus.
"Yes," said Cernus, "fully."
Elizabeth looked at him, startled.

I had not counted on this, nor had Elizabeth. On the other hand, there seemed to be little that could be done about it. The training, exhaustive and detailed, I knew would take months. On the other hand it would be done presumably in the House of Cernus. Further, such training, though spread over a period of months, normally consumes only about five of the Gorean hours daily, that the girls have time to rest, to absorb their lessons, to recreate themselves in the pools and gardens of the house. During this time, since Elizabeth was nominally of the staff of Caprus, we could surely find time to be about our work, for which purpose we had arranged to enter the House of Cernus.

"These girls are not much good yet," said Ho-Tu. "They are only in the fourth month of their training. It is good for them to get the practice, hearing and seeing men respond to them. That is the way to learn what truly pleases men. In the end, I say, it is men who teach women to dance."

All three girls, in the last week, were taught certain standard answers to certain standard questions put to them by Flaminius, whether they agreed with them or not. These questions, to which simple, standard, memorized answers were to be promptly volunteered, were put to them over and over, until they, even Phyllis, responded without thinking. Certain of these questions and answers, suggesting their nature, would be:

Q: What are you? A: I am a slave girl.

Q: What is a slave girl? A: A girl who is owned.

Q: Why do you wear a brand? A: To show that I am owned.

Q: Why do you wear a collar? A: That men may know who owns me.

Q: Why do you wear a collar? A: That men may know who owns me.

Q: What does a slave girl want more than anything? A: To please men.

Q: What are you? A: I am a slave girl.

Q: What do you want more than anything? A: To please men.

There is, beyond these, an entire set of questions and answers, some of them considerably more detailed, and involving standard responses to simple questions pertaining to such matters as history and psychology.

"You said you were no stranger to scrolls," I said.
"To some, Master," she said. "I did not mean to be arrogant. If I have not been pleasing, lash me."
"Have you read," I asked, "the Manuals of the Pens of Mira, Leonora's Compendium, the Songs of Dina, or Hargon's The Nature and Arts of the Female Slave?"
"No, Master," she said, eagerly. Such texts, and numerous others, like them, are sometimes utilized in a girl's training, particularly by professional slavers. Sometimes they are read aloud in training sessions by a scribe, a whip master in attendance. Most girls are eager to acquire such knowledge. Indeed, they often ply one another for secrets of love, makeup, costuming, perfuming, dance, and such, as each wishes to be as perfect for her master as it lies within her power to be.

Our training, because it was limited to a few short weeks, did not include many of the elements that are normally included in a full training. I remained ignorant of Gorean cooking and the cleaning of Gorean garments. I learned nothing of musical instruments. I remained ignorant even of the arrangements of small rugs, decorations and flowers, things that any Gorean girl, slave or free, it likely to know. But I was taught to dance, and to give pleasure, and to stand, and move, and sit and turn, and lift my head and lower it, and kneel, and rise. Interestingly, and sometimes not altogether to my pleasure, I found the training becoming effective.

Some notes on Begging

Begging is an essential part of being a kajira. To a large extent the exact techniques employed depend on the girl, what she's begging for and the Man she's begging from. But this is an over simplification; below are six points of begging that every girl should know.

<Oryx> 1) Show FEELING. Pathos. Need. Make the one you're begging from feel either sympathy OR that S/He has nothing to lose by granting your wish
<Oryx> 2) Be sure the Master KNOWS what you're begging for. Avoid "it", "that", etc
<Oryx> Incorrect: O handsome and generous Master, from whom this slave deserves nothing, this meagre one requests that You, in your munificence and generosity grant it.
<Qah`ri> I wouldn't recommend "Don't make me read those stupid scrolls, Master. This is just stupid." or the ever popular "Not on your life asshole."
<Oryx> 3) As Riri points out, in her inimitable fashion, a beg is NOT the place to show your thoughts

The Ominous Apostrophe It was a dark night, none of the moons had risen. Oryx crept slowly out of the concealing bushes, aware of some slight movement to His side.

"Shhh," He intoned to His lovely slavegirl, pyxi. "We cannot catch it if it hears us first."

The short, but indescribably lovely slavegirl nodded in the dark, her soft rich hair bobbing, glints of reflected starlight shining in her eyes.

"There it is!" Oryx whispered to His companion, pointing out a small grazing something before them. "Slowly, slowly..."

Oryx leaped, spreading the fine-mesh net over the diminutive punctuation mark innocently grazing before them on the grass. It screamed, struggling in the folds of the netting, before calming down.

"Now, girl, how do we use this little apostrophe?" Oryx asked His slavegirl.

"Well, Master, whenever we speak of something You own, we add the lil apostrophe and an s," answered the slavegirl, "like in Master's slavegirl," she added happily.

"That is true... but what if something belongs to, say, that tree?" Oryx asked.

"So when else would we use this little creature," Oryx asked, watching the small punctuation mark in His net.

The pretty slavegirl thought a bit, chewing on a tendril of soft darkness. "How about when you mush two words together, but leave some of the letters out?"

"Like a contraction, My little one?"

"Zackly, Master! Like in, don't (from do not) or you're (from you are)... or... or.."

Oryx chuckled, watching His girl thinking out loud.

"Like it's, from it is! If we want to say it is good we can say it's good!"

"How about when we have more than one of something," Oryx asked her.

"Ah, Master, you are SO smart to remember that one!" exclaimed pyxi. "We can let the little thing rest in that case, cuz just adding the s is enough, like trees or Masters or slaves, or sometimes you need an es if the word already ends in s, like Mistresses or lasses"

"Masters will make passes, at slaves with round asses?" Oryx queried with a smile.

pyxi just blushed.
